Introducing our new elevated planter with trellis - the latest addition to our popular line of cedar garden beds and planters - made in the USA from durable, naturally rot-resistant cedar.

Grow anything from flowering vines to vegetables and herbs in this elevated planter. With a narrow footprint, these planters work well along railings or to enclose an area on a deck or patio. The trellis structure and climbing plants provide an attractive focal point or backdrop, enhancing your outdoor area.

Choose your planter width, length and depth to suit your space and needs. The trellis portion is 36 inches tall, and the planter and trellis together measure 70 inches tall.

Features & Benefits:

  • Solid cedar construction: Unique tongue and groove assembly is strong and lightweight, superior to other wood trellises. Dadoed crosspieces fit together to form a tight grid, we have found stronger than traditional lattices.
  • Vertical gardening: Train plants to grow vertically up the trellis, increasing your planting place in a small footprint.
  • Privacy screen: Trellis creates a natural screen, combined with leafy vines, to provide privacy and enclose your outdoor space.
  • Grow flowering vines: This sturdy trellis provides reliable support for heavy flowering vines, from delicate clematis to fragrant jasmine, which you can enjoy around outdoor seating areas.
  • Elevated design & accessibility: The elevated planter and trellis brings your garden to a comfortable working height, without having to bend or kneel.
  • Made in the USA

Planters with 11 inches planting depth are popular and versatile enough to grow most vegetables, herbs and flowers. Planters 16.5 inches deep provide more soil for deep rooted plants.

All our cedar raised garden planters are 34 inches tall, allowing you to comfortably stand and garden at waist height, or sit positioned sideways next to the planter.

Durable Cedar

Our raised garden planter with trellis is made from kiln-dried cedar. It is a fragrant wood with strong natural oils to protect against moisture and fungal decay. Cedar can be painted or stained, or left unfinished to gray naturally.

We offer Eco Wood Treatment as one option for a sealant. Eco Wood Treatment works by penetrating wood fibers to create a natural buffer against water and fungal decay. It increases wood's durability while creating an aged, silvery patina after just a few hours.

Set Up & Assembly

This elevated planter box with trellis can be set up on any hard surface that is flat and level, such as a patio, courtyard or balcony. For the planter portion, simply stack the boards and insert the stainless steel corner pins. Then attach the legs, planter bottom and trim with included screws. A power screwdriver is recommended. Detailed assembly instructions and all necessary hardware are included.

For the trellis portion, assembly involves arranging the vertical and horizontal cross pieces on a flat surface, then gluing the notches and applying pressure to form a grid. Once the cross pieces are in place, the frame can be attached with included screws, again applying wood glue to the notches where the cross pieces join the frame. The final steps are attaching the trellis assembly to the planter box, along with the end braces.

We recommend letting the boards sit in a garage, shed or covered area for 3-5 days to allow the boards to acclimatize to their new environment. This helps to prevent any cupping, warping, and gapping.

Adding a layer of gravel to the bottom of the planter isn't necessary, as the slatted bottom provides good drainage. Optionally, line with landscape fabric to prevent fine soil from washing out.

Comfy, soft, packable, and cool
Color: Green, Size: Small
I absolutely love this pillow. It's well constructed but not OVER constructed - it is soft, comfortable to my neck and head - very packable and stays pretty cool - like the 'other side' of the pillow. I also appreciate the stuff sack that Wise Owl sends with it. I was able to get this down into my right side of my Redwing 50 pocket. This thing fits everywhere and while some folks think its a luxury, when you get to be my age - comfort is something that you take for granted. I feel well rested after a night on this bad boy. Shape always fluffs back out. I think it's a great value at the price point it is at compared to other pillows in this range. Very very durable, like all Wise Owl products I own. Easily fits snugly into the bag, and can mold around you depending on how you want to adjust it. I don't use a sleeping pad, just this for my neck support and it really is worth every penny. Water resistance - I'm not sure as I've not had the opportunity to see it but I feel like with the material it is, water would probably bead off in light amounts.

It's comfy but not UL nor packs down well.
Color: Blue, Size: Medium
Don't get me wrong, overall this is a very good mini portable camping pillow that has slightly bigger length, width & thickness than most of the other name brand inflatable camping pillows that cost $20 extra, which is nice for having more pillow/support to work with while you sleep, & it being foam filled rather than inflated means you don't have to worry about it deflating on you overnight out in the wilderness where you likely don't have a backup!.. All that is great until it's time to pack it back up.. It doesn't compact down small, nor easily. You have to put a little elbow grease into tightly rolling it up like a burrito, 🌯 And even Then, it's still a bit of a fight to squeeze it back into it's compression sack, but Still winds up being a bulky bulgy chunk of space real estate in my pack, and if you're a serious hiker you know every ounce counts as well as every inch of space that's taken up by bulky gear. I didn't consider returning or replacing it for something else until wayy past the return window. Again, it's not bad at all for your average travel or weekend camping trips, but for expedition, section or thru-hiking it's not the best choice to go with when budgeting weight & space in your pack. I went with a similarly priced Teton camping pillow that is 18" by 12", also filled not inflated so it's basically the same thing but ever so slightly smaller in circumference, yet packs down noticably easier & more compact, weighing slightly less & taking up noticably less space in your pace as well. I can easily stuff it in the outer back kangaroo pouch on my Osprey Atmos AG 50L.

Perfect, compact, portable, comfort.
Color: Grey, Size: Small
Got the small one. It's perfect size for camping. I saw other comments with pics of medium and looked too big for portable use. I like down feather pillows and this one is really close to same feel. I recommend it 100%. And I may even buy another one.

I really wanted to like this pillow but I didn't, My son did.
Color: Blue, Size: Medium
I bought two of these Medium pillows for summer camp that my son and I went to this year. Let me start by saying the only reason I don't like it is because its too soft and small for me. By soft I mean the pillow bottoms out when I put my head on it. I measured and it is 4" thick but when I put my head on it, it almost disappears. They could add 20-25% more stuffing and it would be great. My son liked his, I didn't even bring mine. What I did do is stuff a standard size memory foam pillow in the stuff sack and used that! The quality of this pillow is great, the seams were not torn or coming undone like some people said, no rips or stains. the zippier works just fine and IT IS MEMORY FOAM, people who complain that it's not are expecting a brick of foam which this isn't, it is shredded/torn memory foam filling that is exactly like my $60 memory foam pillows that I use on my bed. TLDR its great for kids, not for people with bowling balls for heads like me. WISE OWL, ADD MORE FILLING ! I was able to stuff a pillow 3x the size of this one in the same bag.
